Many Ways to Explore
There are numerous ways to connect with the College of Engineering and the University of Arizona; we look forward to meeting you!

Traveling to campus? Ongoing opportunities include in-person campus tours through the Office of Undergraduate Admissions, along with College of Engineering-specific informational sessions.
Engineering Design Center
The Engineering Design Center is a new workspace for 3D printing, circuit building, soldering, wood/metal fabrication, and much more. We are open to all UA students who want to learn new engineering skills, make use of our equipment or just need a comfortable place to work.
Please feel free to drop by Monday-Friday from 1:00 – 4:00 pm and a technician will show you around the center.

Engineering Ambassador-Led Tours
Interested in becoming a Wildcat Engineer? Schedule a personalized tour of the College of Engineering with one of our Engineering Ambassadors — current students who are excited to share their experiences. During the tour, you'll:
- Walk through our labs, classrooms, and student spaces.
- Learn about majors, research, and student organizations.
- Get the inside scoop on campus life and what it's really like to be an engineering student at the University of Arizona.
Note: Tours are subject to the availability of an Engineering Ambassador. While we cannot guarantee that every request will be fulfilled, our team will do everything possible to match you with a student ambassador for your visit. Additionally, high school students must be always accompanied by their parent or guardian.
Tours are available Monday through Friday and must be requested at least two weeks in advance. Group sizes are limited to keep the experience personal and accommodate space restrictions.
Ready to plan your visit? Fill out the tour request form.
Mirror Lab Tours
At The University of Arizona's Richard F. Caris Mirror Laboratory, a team of scientists and engineers are making giant, lightweight mirrors of unprecedented power for a new generation of optical telescopes. These mirrors represent a radical departure from the conventional solid-glass mirrors used in the past. They have a honeycomb structure on the inside; made out of Ohara E6-type borosilicate glass that is melted, molded and spun cast into the shape of a paraboloid in a custom-designed rotating oven. Honeycomb mirrors offer the advantages of their solid counterparts - rigidity and stability - but they can be significantly larger, and dramatically lighter.
Mirror lab tickets can be purchased through this link.
