UA College of Engineering undergraduate degree programs are accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, www.abet.org.

Note: New freshmen are admitted into “no major selected, engineering.” Students typically select a major by the end of their first year at the University, though they may delay selection until well into their second year of studies.

ABET accreditation provides assurance that a college or university program meets the quality standards of the profession for which that program prepares graduates.

ABET accredits programs, not institutions. It provides specialized accreditation for postsecondary programs within degree-granting institutions already recognized by national or regional institutional accreditation agencies or national education authorities worldwide.
