Assuring a Quality Education

UA College of Engineering programs are accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET.

(Biomedical engineering is under review for ABET accreditation, and the College’s newest program, environmental engineering, will be eligible to seek accreditation when its first student graduates.)

ABET accreditation of the Engineering programs assures a quality education in the professions for which students are training.

ABET accredits only postsecondary degree-granting programs housed within regionally accredited institutions. It does not accredit degrees, departments, colleges or institutions. Accreditation in the United States is a voluntary, non-governmental periodic peer-review process.
