Associate of General Studies in Engineering

For students attending classes at Pima Community College and preparing to transfer to the University of Arizona, Pima offers an associate of general studies in engineering as a helpful tool for completing the major required coursework. While we do not require the completion of an associate degree, students should check with PCC academic advisors regarding financial aid requirements associated with the degree program. A maximum of 64 credits of transferable community college coursework may be applied to a bachelor’s degree program at the University of Arizona. Consult your PCC advisor about course selection.

 

Preparing at PCC for Engineering at the UA

Transfer Strategies Class

One of the most valuable resources available to you now is the STU 210 Transfer Strategies class at PCC. This class, which transfers as an elective credit, provides UA campus visits; meetings with staff members from the UA Office of Admissions, Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid, and the Center for Transfer Students; and consultations on the best timing for transfers. If you have not yet taken the class, talk to your PCC counselor or advisor today about registering.
